1. Purpose & Scope
This Code of Conduct (“Code”) sets out the professional, ethical, safety, and behavioural standards expected of all Technicians registered on the Onsite-Technician platform (“Platform”), operated by Local Emergency Fixers LTD (“Company”). This Code applies to all interactions with customers, the Company, and third parties while using the Platform.
2. Independent Professional Responsibility
Technicians operate as independent contractors and are solely responsible for their conduct, services, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. Nothing in this Code creates an employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
3. Professional Behaviour
Technicians must act professionally, honestly, and respectfully at all times. Abusive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Appropriate attire, language, and conduct are required on every Job.
4. Job Acceptance & Attendance
Technicians must only accept Jobs they are qualified to perform. Punctuality is required. Any delays, cancellations, or inability to attend must be communicated promptly to the customer and the Company.
5. Performance of Services
Services must be carried out with reasonable care, skill, and diligence, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and recognised trade standards. Technicians must leave customer premises clean and secure after completing work.
6. Pricing Transparency & Customer Approval
Technicians must clearly explain and agree pricing with the customer before commencing work. No additional work or charges may be applied without the customer’s prior approval. Misrepresentation of pricing or scope of work is strictly prohibited.
7. Payment Handling
Technicians are responsible for collecting payment directly from customers. Any disputes regarding payment, pricing, or refunds must be handled professionally and in good faith. The Platform is not responsible for collecting customer payments.
8. Health & Safety
Technicians must comply with all health and safety laws and industry standards. Work must cease immediately if conditions are unsafe, and the customer and Company must be notified. Technicians are responsible for their own safety and that of others at the Job site.
9. Insurance & Licensing
Technicians must maintain valid public liability insurance and any required trade licences at all times. Failure to maintain valid documentation may result in immediate suspension from the Platform.
10. Customer Property & Privacy
Technicians must respect customer property and privacy at all times. Customer data must only be used for Job fulfilment and must not be retained or misused.
11. Non-Circumvention
Technicians must not solicit or accept future or repeat work from Platform customers outside the Platform during engagement or for 12 months following termination.
12. Legal & Ethical Compliance
Technicians must comply with all applicable laws and must not engage in fraud, theft, deception, or illegal practices. False representation of qualifications or experience is prohibited.
13. Reporting & Cooperation
Technicians must promptly report safety issues, misconduct, or serious complaints to the Company and must cooperate fully with investigations or audits.
14. Enforcement & Disciplinary Action
Breaches of this Code may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform, depending on severity and frequency.
15. No Retaliation
Retaliation against any individual who raises a concern or participates in an investigation in good faith is strictly prohibited.
16. Amendments & Acceptance
The Company may update this Code from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Code.
